  • problems with sleep

  • headaches
  • tender lymph nodes
  • increased malaise (fatigue and sickness) following exertion

Other Symptoms The symptoms listed above are the symptoms used to diagnose this illness. However, many CFS patients may experience other symptoms, including:

  • irritable bowel

Never Give Up Hope

One thing I will never do is give up hope. Not just that I get well someday, although I do hope and pray for that. What I refuse to give up hope about, is that I am here for a purpose. I will never give up hope that I will one day see the blessing, and see the purpose, in what I now can only see as suffering. I believe in my heart that we are all here for a very important reason, it’s just that many of us aren’t quite sure what that reason is, and that’s o.k. We just can’t give up hope that one day we will see the light, and it will all make complete sense to us….on my dark and sad days, that is what I try to remember.

Thanks for this site. I’ve been suffering for 2 years now, and have seen too many doctors to count, even 2 CFS specialist. I found gammaglobulin shots help some (antibodies). Going back on Valcyte – an antiviral. I was diagnosed with something called common variable immune deficiency (low IGG antibodies) and CFS. Have chronic tiredness, so doctor has given me amphetamine and norco for chronic pain in lymph glands and intestines. Some doctors believe a virus causes CFS. Something called “Corvalen” and Mitochondria tablets have helped with energy. Zoloft has helped achiness and depression from being ill so long. Ocassionally, I search “Google news” to see latest updates on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Unfortunately, many doctors are still in disbelief about CFS. I suggust to everyone suffering to get fresh air and sunshine everyday, and try to walk just a bit every other day so you do not lose all of your strength, plus it helps with depression. I was a go-getter before I became ill. Accept the illness, do not struggle, and take each moment and ask what can I do now. Do not worry. If you can do nothing now to change or help yourself, let worry go. Be in the present moment. I’m reading A New Earth, which Oprah recommended, and it is helping incredibly how I look at situation.
